End of Year Resolutions – 2018 Edition

My team has learning and accountability meetups every Thursday. It’s fun because it’s a great way to check in, be held accountable, and we all help each other meet our goals. As a team, we sat down and defined what we wanted to accomplish by the end of 2018 and set steps to get us there.

According to Forbes, only 8% of people accomplish their New Year Resolutions. I think this probably has to do with a lack of planning, support system, and lacking the tools to accomplish what they’ve set.

I’ve been that 8%

As, I’m sure, have you. I didn’t accomplish all of the things I set out to do at the beginning of the year. The ones I haven’t met are because I lacked a clear plan or I set them for all the wrong reasons.

I know I’m going to crush my End of Year Resolutions because I have that support system, I have the tools, and I’m setting myself up for success.

 

 

Blog Consistently

I am the worst at getting overwhelmed by life and letting blogging just not get done. Well, no more. This is something I totally enjoy and I think all to often we let things we enjoy fall back when life gets tough and I don’t want to do that anymore.

Workout 4-6 Days, Weekly

Of course this is contingent on my body and of it’s a low/no spoon day. But I’ve been letting other people’s plans dictate if I workout or not and that just is not ok.

Eat Healthy Out & About

I cave so damn hard to peer pressure when I’m out with friends and family. I have such a sensitive tummy. Combine that with the fact I’ve changed my diet so much this year and eat 80-90% healthy, homemade foods on the daily, caving to peer pressure and having a creamy pasta dish or getting BBQ upsets my tummy so much more than it would have last year. This goal is more about will power and building a backbone – haha!

Read More PD Books

Personal development books are something I used to scoff at so hard, but it’s something my team encourages in order to work on the issues holding us back from helping ourselves and others. Since my first one, I’m somewhat of a personal development junkie now, BUT I often pick fun fanfiction or YA novels when it comes time to pick up a book.

I have been scheduling PD time into my day that is separate from my nightly reading and it’s been a huge help. I’m going to continue this trend!

Closet Downsize

Ok, it almost physically pains me to write those words, but it’s something I need to do in the worst kind of way. My closet is literally overflowing and i have two rolling closets completely full plus a few baskets.

This is totally a symptom of my years spent doing hardcore retail therapy, and I’ve been chipping away at the clothing all year, but I clearly have more than I need.

Yesterday I packed some bags to take to our local ministerial alliance, later today I plan to take more photos for my Poshmark. I’ve been making ok money with it, so maybe I’ll find somethings that sell well.
